The Gold Coast Bulletin says Daniel Jon Taylor appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court facing charges of affray and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Police say he was involved in a brawl outside a Surfers Paradise nightclub in July, where it's alleged he repeatedly kicked a Victorian tourist.
It's now being reported the 19-year-old will head back to Sydney to live with his dad in his multi-million dollar home at Dover Heights.
The move is part of Mr Taylor's bail conditions.
Mr Taylor was living in Queensland with his mother Melissa.
The Gold Coast Bulletin says Mr Taylor operates a popular under-18 nightclub called Audio Mayhem on the Gold Coast and also runs the Dan's Apartment promotions company with his mother.
Mr Taylor will have to return to the Gold Coast for his committal hearing in February.
